Busted buy. Sold stock. Now short?

  1. If you bought & sold a stock that is non-marginable, & the buy order gets busted, are you now short the stock even though you can't get a borrow on it?

  2. You are short the stock if they break they buy side.

  3. how often do they bust trades? is it usually limited to stocks or can it happen to futures and forex as well? what conditions or sizes are usual for trades that are busted? all my trading involves hedging so getting one side busted would might be a huge issue.

  4. What if it's done to a OTCBB stock where you can't be short the stock? Are you still short?
