>> J_Smith: Do you want to trade options, or make money? The latter. I'm also a software developer and startups are seen as the holly grail to making money here. But most ideas seem copycats or plain silly. I'm betting my chances on options trading. >> Baron: So what are the characteristics about your wife that's driving your desires over to other women? She doesn't like my drinking Coming back to options trading, I see the whole thing as sort of a money amplifier with a 1.3 - 1.5x gain and I'm finally nearing a prototype version which I can systematically use in real trading. Backtests look promising. I've wasted a lot of time trying advanced mathematical models and they either don't fit or I wasn't able to fit them, eventually I settled for simpler stuff and amazingly, it seems to work better. So if the darn thing works, it's gonna be a lot simpler from now on. It's gonna take a lot of time to amplify my starting capital to a significant value if I only trade with it and convincing others to infuse additional capital it's not easy but it's doable. What I'm worried is that it "almost works". Like in a plane that "almost flies", would you buy that? Case when I'd need a helping hand, someone I can trust sharing my code and discussing my ideas with. I got a potential guy for that too, will see how this goes...
