Bush's Policy Change Angers Palestinians

  1. Not all Iraqis are this way, but almost all non-hostile Iraqis still sit around and expect everything to be handed to them. Seize the day seems only to be understood by the terrorists (and not those people who actually want a better life, but have yet to do anything about it)

    >Why is it that when a Christian or a Jew does something
    >evil in the name of their religion it is simply because they
    >are bad individuals, but when a muslim does the same it
    >is because the whole lot are evil?

Because they are Christians and Jews and you are Muslim. Me, I think all of ya are pretty much "evil" when you do something in the name of your religion.

  3. Quote from ARogueTrader:

Israel should not be given any special favors or treatment.

There is this "favored" status in which we allow them to get away with shit that in many cases is unreasonable.

Their history, or the history of the Jews is as inconsequential as the history of the African Americans, or the American Indians, yet they play upon the holocaust as if it grants them a lifetime exemption from reasonable behavior.

Any type of decision making that is based in Biblical interpretation as it relates to politics is wrong.

I have no attachment to either the state of Israel or the state of Palestine.

They both are wrong in their behavior, and we should not support either side when they act like morons.

  4. I haven't actually said the whole lot of Muslims are evil. Certainly, most muslims are decent people. But I am not going to hide from the fact that I have said, and that I maintain, that a very large proportion of Muslums are intolerant or, at the least, sympathize with the most radical, extreme followers of the religion. Indeed, hate and terrorism are being preached in scores of mosques in a myriad of countries, and religion is being used as the primary reason. This hate is being targeted at everything from whole other religions to whole other cultures (ie open and free societies, etc), with no respect for the right of others to live their lives and make personal choices as they please. But without a doubt, any person (muslim, christian, jew or other) who respects those who are themselves tolerant, should in no way be guilty by association.

  5. Exactly. Our biggest danger is appeasement.

  9. Actually, this is a regular occurrence, and a party is typically held afterwards by the party (paid for by Hamas).

As Golda Meir said, "There can never be peace so long as Palestinian mothers hate Jews more than they love their children."
