Bush, Worst President Of Last 50 Years?

Discussion in 'Politics' started by AAAintheBeltway, Apr 7, 2006.

  1. -No, he's referring to the 20 +% interest rates.

-He's referring to inflation doubling in 4 years.

    -He's referring to record unemployment.

  2. Man, you are so full of crap.

All the Bush apologists do is blame every problem Bush faces on Clinton, but don't look to what Nixon/Ford did to set the table for Carter.

    Pathetic....

  3. If you are placing the blame of inflation and high interest rates squarely on President Carter during his tenure, then I am afraid that you are living in a clue-free environment. On the plus side, it must be fairly blissful. :)

  5. It won't happen if they outsource every single American job to the Chinese and Indian labor camps.....

Oil started it, but the wages inflation that was necessary for people to survive is what the focus became....

We haven't seen wage inflation because of the exporting of jobs....

  6. Carter is to face no blame for the conditions at the time... however Bush IS? Sorry, I can't go along with you and Z's thinking. Here's to a blissful year for all of us! Cheers. J

  7. I think it is only fair to blame presidents for conditions that they created rather than those that they inherited or otherwise had no direct control over.

    maxpi

Not really. He wanted the world's banking rates set up so the third world countries could repay their debt.

  10. Bush is no genius, but I do feel safer with him at the helm than Carter. The man was dangerously delusional, filled with sanctimonious moral superiority but unable to make the tough decisions. Classic round peg in square hole situation. The voters agreed and tossed him after one term in favor of Ronald Reagan, who they correctly recognized as a real leader.
