So let's see, what's the right's record on national security? 1. Reagan sends Marines to Lebanon to intervene in their civil war. 200 plus are killed by suicide bombers. He orders them to counterattack in Grenada. 2. On the day of Reagan's inauguration, the hostages are released from Iran. Seemed a bit suspicious at the time. Later on, Reagan confirms that he is in fact an agent of the Iranians by directly committing treason: he ships arms to Iran, then and now an enemy of the US. This is as bald-faced an act of treason as has ever happened in the history of this Republic. His justification, flimsy to anyone with half a brain, is that he funded the Nicaraguan contras with the proceeds from the sale. To anyone with a full brain, it's obvious this is a thank you for waiting to free the hostages until he was inaugurated. 3. George H.W. Bush pardons everyone convicted for the Iran-Contra treason. 4. His son invades Iraq, thereby removing their principal rival for influence in the Middle East, and opening the way for an Iranian-influenced Shiite government to take power in Iraq. Iran is now more powerful than it has ever been in the Middle East. The right continues to prove itself an agent of Iranian interests. Against all of this, these idiots propose that Obama's response to NK amounts to some sort of, well, I don't know, actually. He hasn't shipped arms to a sworn enemy of the US; he hasn't put troops in harm's way and then shrugged and pulled them out when they're killed by terrorists; he hasn't invaded the enemy of the principal enemy the US has in the Middle East and thereby made that sworn enemy stronger. Maybe he should; these fools would then, I'm sure, approve.
