Bush speech

  1. If Bush's plan fails, which I predict it will, it will go down as one of the worst decisions ever made by a US president.

After we leave Iraq, and they revert back to the mean, what will have to show for the billions wasted, the lives wasted, the goodwill we squandered post Afghanistan wasted......

He said he would go after those responsible for 9/11. He has done that. Over two thirds of Al Qaida has been captured or killed and the rest are on the run. He said he would go after those who funded terrorism and harbored terrorists. He did that as well. Wether or not you believe Iraq had WMD, we did know that they funded terrorism and was home to many terrorist camps for training. So we went into Iraq. He said he was going to bring stability to the middle east. Now, for the first time in a long time, we will have a free islamic nation with a democracy. He said he would make American safer. He created the dept of homeland security. He streamlined the CIA, FBI, NSA to make it more efficient. I don't know man, looks like he has followed through on his word so far.

That's a reasonable point, AAA. Indeed he is a professional politician.

I see that my thesis would have been tighter had I included a mention of it immediately after the opening paragraph.

    Thank you very much!

To this I agree, if he fails, it will be one of the largest debacles ever. However, the fear of failure should not stop one from trying should it ART? Are you telling me that once you started trading for the first time you were profitable? When you were unprofitable, did your fear of failure stop you from trading or did you believe in yourself? Well, Bush believes in his mission. Whether he succeeds or not only time will tell.

Funny I was thinging the same thing when I watched Bush last night. It was perfect except for the part about the strawberries.

Anyone one who knows any thing about the federal government knows that you can't streamline a bureaucracy. I worked for dod for 20 years and I,m laughing my ass off at that one.

  7. George W. Bush, impervious to such self-deception, has, in a mere two and a half years, reversed the perilous course of a quarter-century. Since September 11, he has removed the Taliban and Saddam Hussein, begun to challenge the Middle East through support for consensual government, isolated Yasser Arafat, pressured the Europeans on everything from anti-Semitism to their largesse to Hamas, removed American troops from Saudi Arabia, shut down fascistic Islamic "charities," scattered al-Qaida, turned Pakistan from a de facto foe to a scrutinized neutral, rounded up terrorists in the United States, pressured Libya, Iran, and Pakistan to come clean on clandestine nuclear cheating, so far avoided another September 11 — and promises that he is not nearly done yet.

I didn't say it became efficient, I said it became more efficient. Anything can become more efficient, even the government.

Then why is Bush dropping in the poles? An answer is requested.

That's a stupid question. That is like asking why a stock is trading down after a good earnings report. I take it you don't trade for a living.
