Bush market strategy

    Since the market goes down every time the president speaks - and seems to recover once he is done speaking I am going to try a new strategy. This strategy is called GBSS (George Bush Stops Speaking).

    Rules of entry:

    If speech starts with "regrettably" short everything.

    Upon the word thank you (at end of speech) initiate long on broad market index.

    Initiate stop loss if he starts speaking again.

    Amazing, stops speaking at 8:30 (Pacific). Lets' see what the market does now.:)
     
  2. There's also a contrarian aspect that you missed:

    if he starts the speech on an upnote...

    -and the market rallies - wait for resistance, and then short.

    -if the market sells off, short like CRAZY, because everyone else is thinking the same thing you are ("this guy's full of sh!t").
