I just read a book called "Biohazard". It is about the Soviet Bioweapons program and a good informative read. I was completely against the invasion of Iraq at the time but after reading this book I can understand how, especially after 911, a hostile regime (not to mention one that had used chemical weapons on its own people and possible against US troops in the 1st Gluf war) that was thought to be engaged in this type of research and had what was thought to be links with AQ would make anyone want to take preemptive action. It would also explain why most of congress Dem and GOP went along with it.
