How did this scenario play out exactly? I usually get to see the big stuff go through in the 10-yr notes (pit and screen) and how big paper works orders. Do they do clips of 500 or 1000, was Rotter bid for 10,000 and then paper sold it to him? Did it trade down near the lows to 80, then all of a sudden huge local bid and paper decided to unload on him? Also, what time is that US central time? Just wondering.

  2. Mike,

Watched the first spike yesterday morning. The Bund 75 offered for a couple of hundred, the usual offers all the way up (minimum 1500 per price). Suddenly someone comes in with the order, we are 80 bid, must have taken out minimum 7000, another couple of 1000 brought around 79-80. Then we just ticked up in a straight line with very little in the way of pull back to mid 90's. Market struggled a bit to pass 86 but that was the only resisitance offered on the way up.

  4. Looks to me like the market got spooked by the jump in oil prices!! Almost touched $4 higher than Fridays close after the inventories data today.

  6. No way, you seen the way the bugger is moving. Starting having a look at oil 2 weeks ago. I love it. But bread and butter at the moment is US 10yr.

Who is that by the way? Send me a PM.
