Cheers man. Bigger than some of those dax stops? How far down were you bidding? Did you hold it the whole time or get out and pray they don't break the original fills?
i brought half above and half below 115.13... sold 1/3 instantly then dumped to half position when heard the level for investigation. held the other half over the number and sold 86 down to 82 on the confirmation they were good. My best buy was 114.83. The longest 90 mins of my life.
Eurex are pretty notorious for busting trades. Just amazed they didn't bust it. I think most people thought they would, I certainly did.
I have found this on the mysterious fall off the cliff event: DJ EUREX/Mistrade im Bund-Future 28.03.2008 - 13:36 DJ EUREX/Mistrade im Bund-Future FRANKFURT (Dow Jones)--Im Bund-Future hat am Freitagmittag nach Aussage eines Händlers ein Mistrade stattgefunden. DJG/mod/reh (END) Dow Jones Newswires March 28, 2008 10:20 ET (14:20 GMT) *** Gents! If your German is at little rusty, the essence of the above says that Deutsche Börse (owner of Eurex) will not cancel the trades on or above 115,13 made in the time frame 12.17 to 12.41 CET. I myself had bought put options @ 116,50 - So I had a hilarious laugh. But as we all know now, i all ended where it startede. But I would be furious if had been stopped out near 115,13 in a futures trade. Black Swan event anyone? Maybe...
