  1. Does anyone know how David Blaine actually did this bullet catch, was this completely an illusion ?

I remember as a kid seeing a guy supposedly do this on Wide World of Sports. He had some kind of block in his mouth as I recall to save his teeth, and as I recall it was set in a boxing ring for some reason. I always figured it was fake.
  3. If it is just teeth involved, and not a catch block, then it is always fake. Even if a human was fast enough (nobody is) to chomp down in time, the bullet and/or teeth would shred.

They aren't the last word, of course, but Myth Busters gave that one a good working over - complete with an electronically triggered steel teeth and jaw setup, and high-speed cameras.
  4. Looks like an air gun was used instead of a real gun. The impact of the bullet is just too light.
