I will answer you after market closes. Right now I am busy pushing white candles up the asses of bears! GOOG is the biggest candle up 95 points!
well before you respond, just keep in mind that I am neither a permabear nor a permabull. My only concern is reading my signals correctly and putting myself on the right side of the market as I trade intra-day. I take no joy in bears getting smoked or bulls getting smoked, only joy in the fact that I have traded well and that I took the right signals.
What's always amazed, and actually amused me, is the emotional tirades and seemingly angry posts by those who apparently think shorting is un-American, illegal or any of the other asinine reasons they have. Many just want to bury their heads and hold their long positions, which often are underwater, when the economy is obviously struggling in most every area.
Question. If you as the moderator feel so strongly, why not do something? Ban the poster, suspend the poster's IP address for a period of 2-4 weeks as a cool-off time? Delete the thread, lock the thread etc. I know that Baron makes money off of controversial posts more so then legitimate ones...but if you feel so strong and are in a position to take action as the moderator, why not do something rather then post a token warning that will obviously not get followed. I would suspend the poster's IP address for two weeks to allow him to cool-off and rethink.
Cause if you start baning people for creating controversy or expressing alternative views then the forum would become stuffy and boring. Everyone has the option of ignoring a thread/user they don't like.
Agreed. But as you point out, Baron has a financial interest in seeing web-activity generated by "CON-troversial" posts. Thus, the mods simply take a backseat, refuse to be pro-active, and conveniently "hide" behind telling users to use the ignore button. it's simply the easy way out. This is why the quality of ET ( and its content ) continues to deteriorate to ALL time lows . . . It's clear that Baron doesn't care, otherwise he would have "locked" the thread on fantasy poster, "Paul Tudor Jones" and his official "Hedge Fund Fan Club" thread a long time ago, instead of allowing it to go on for 30 PAGES!!! What a joke ET has become.
Day attacks everyone here. Mak made a statement that was in agreement with this psychos thesis, and he attacked HIM. I remember seeing a thread where day copied a post from HIMSELF, and attacked it....Why ban the guy? He obviously has nothing better to do than post here. If anyone thinks this dude has any risk capital involved, they are as crazy as day! Let him keep posting its pure comedy!
For those who are trying to figure out what this thread is about, here is a summary. Poster A: I am going short from ES 1380. HFT: I hope you burn in hell. Moderator: Ha-ha, I knew you would say that! Poster B: market looks overbought HFT: I am gonna push a white candle up your ass Moderator: See, I told you so. Poster C: HFT, you seem to be obsessed about burning HFT: Why are you attacking me? I hope you permabears burn in hell. Why can't we have an intellectual debate? Moderator: That's the third time I am right! Chorus: Ban some people, ban some people! Moderator: Ha-ha, ha-ha! And so on.
