Building a Mobile worstation

    I'm in the process of building a mobile workstation, this is what i have so far, any input would be appreciated, any other hardware componenets i shouold look at or consider?

    BATTERY OPTIONS 9 Cell Battery edit
    WIRELESS CARD Dell Wireless™ 1397 802.11b/g Mini Card
     
  2. Buy a netbook, use Remote Desktop and save $1,500.

  4. You call that a "mobile workstation"?

    Looks like a run-of-the-mill laptop.
     
  5. Bet you could buy 5 netbooks for the price of that toy.

    Get a larger 12" netbook and be done with it.

    If you're going with Win 7 go 64-bit, it's the future and I haven't had any compatibality problems, but I'd stay with XP pro for trading untill Win 7 has been out for a while.
    The newer 17.3 screens are 1600x900. Better for trading. Get LED they are brighter and crisper. Probably better battery life too.
    For wireless get N or Draft N.
    Sometimes the Dell 9 cell batteries extend out the back about 3/4 inch making it harder to find a bag. My 6 cell battery is getting a little over 4hrs.
