How do I use the AutoFormat tool in Microsoft Word to completely avoid angled quotation marks entirely?

You need to modify the settings related to smart quotes using this detailed guide:

    Disabling Smart Quotes in Word...

To prevent Microsoft Word from converting straight quotation marks into smart (angled) quotes, you can follow these steps:

Open the Options Menu: Begin by selecting the File tab in the upper left corner of Word and then click on Options.

Access Proofing Settings: In the Word Options dialog box, choose the Proofing tab to access the settings related to text formatting.

Open AutoCorrect Options: Click on the AutoCorrect Options button found in the Proofing section. This will open a new dialog box where you can control various text replacement features.

AutoFormat As You Type: Within the AutoCorrect dialog, select the AutoFormat As You Type tab. Here, you will see a list of options that can be enabled or disabled as you type.

Disable Smart Quotes: Look for the option labeled "Straight quotes" with “smart quotes” and clear the checkbox next to it to disable the feature. This will ensure that straight quotation marks remain straight and are not converted into angled quotes.

Finalizing Changes: After unchecking the smart quotes option, click OK to close the AutoCorrect dialog, and then click OK again to exit the Word Options menu. This process will apply the changes throughout your documents.

The only one of these that really gave my anything with respect to the image I had was designify.

Then again, so far, it appears that if I want to generate an image that comes even close to my own original drawings (all the way to the right) I need to use creator.NightCafe.studio with the "Use prompt magic" off, the "Noise Weight" all the way down to zero, and both the "Prompt Weight" (and another setting that for some reason is not showing up now) all the way up to 100%...

    Screenshot_4.jpg

(All designify could do was give me that exact same image with perhaps a little less "noise" in the background.)

What is the difference between an axiom, postulate, theorem and corollary?

The terms "axiom," "postulate," "theorem," and "corollary" have distinct meanings in mathematics, each serving a unique purpose within mathematical reasoning and proof. Below is a detailed explanation of each term and the differences between them.

    1. Axiom

An axiom is a fundamental statement or proposition that is assumed to be true without proof. Axioms serve as the foundational building blocks for a mathematical system, and they are accepted universally across various mathematical disciplines.

Example: A common axiom in geometry states that "through any two points, there exists exactly one straight line."

Axioms are often seen as self-evident truths and are not subject to demonstration. They provide the basis from which theorems can be deduced.

    2. Postulate

A postulate is similar to an axiom but is usually specific to a particular field or system of study. While both axioms and postulates are accepted without proof, postulates often pertain to specific theories or geometric frameworks. In essence, postulates can be seen as a subset of axioms that is tailored to a specific context.

Example: In Euclidean geometry, a common postulate is that "a straight line can be drawn from any point to any other point."

    3. Theorem

A theorem is a statement that has been proven to be true based on previously established statements, such as axioms and other theorems. The proof of a theorem consists of logical deductions that validate its truth without ambiguity. Theorems often represent significant results in mathematics. (A deduction is a conclusion based on established rules of logic, where the conclusion necessarily follows from a set of give premises, meaning if the premises are true, the conclusion must also be true; essentially, reasoning from general principles to specific conclusions using a "top-down" approach.)

Example: The Pythagorean theorem states that in a right-angled triangle, the square of the length of the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of the squares of the lengths of the other two sides.

Theorems require substantial proof and validation to be accepted within the mathematical community.

    4. Corollary

A corollary is a statement that follows easily and directly from a previously established theorem. Corollaries are often seen as lesser results that can be derived from a theorem with little to no additional proof needed. While they can be significant, their proof usually depends heavily on the theorem from which they come.

Example: A corollary to the Pythagorean theorem could be that "in a right-angled triangle, the length of the hypotenuse is always greater than the length of either of the other two sides."

    Summary of Differences...
    • Axioms: Fundamental propositions accepted universally without proof.
    • Postulates: Similar to axioms but specific to a certain field or theory.
    • Theorems: Statements that have been proven based on axioms or previously established theorems.
    • Corollaries: Statements that follow directly from a theorem and usually require minimal proof.
These four terms form the foundational concepts of mathematical reasoning, contributing to the structure and progression of mathematical theory.

What kind of information should go on the back cover of a paperback book?

A paperback book's back cover serves as a crucial tool for attracting readers and encouraging them to purchase the book. It typically includes several key elements that together create an appealing sales pitch.

Essential Elements for the Back Cover

Book Blurb: A compelling description that summarizes the book's main themes and hooks the reader's interest without giving away the plot details. It should be engaging and convey what the reader can expect.

Tagline: A brief, catchy line placed prominently to capture the essence of the book. This could include details about the main theme or a teaser that intrigues the target audience.

Reviews and Endorsements: Quotes from notable authors or reputable publications can add credibility and influence potential readers. Selecting reviews that highlight specific strengths of the book, such as compelling stories or well-developed characters, can enhance appeal.

Author Bio: A concise author biography can help establish the author's credibility, particularly in nonfiction works. It may include the author’s background, previous publications, or relevant expertise that positions them as a trusted voice on the subject.

ISBN and Barcode: These textual elements are essential for retail sales. The ISBN uniquely identifies the book and is accompanied by a barcode for scanning purposescitationSourceIndex1.

Publisher Details: While not the focus, including the publisher's name or logo helps in maintaining professional standards and can enhance trust.

Awards and Recognitions: If the book or the author has received any awards, these should be featured to build credibility and interest.

    Design Considerations

Layout and Spacing: The design should prioritize readability and clarity. Adequate spacing helps ensure that the text is easy to skim.

Visual Design: The overall aesthetic should be consistent with the front cover and genre while attracting the right audience. Elements such as colors and fonts can be used creatively to reflect the tone of the book.

In summary, the back cover of a paperback book should effectively combine a captivating blurb, a strong tagline, credible endorsements, author credentials, and essential publication details, all presented in a visually appealing manner to entice potential readers.

Mission accomplished! My first book is now on the market...

    Screenshot_13.png

Of course, there's a 99.99% chance that no one will ever buy it, but at least it won't be on a list of things I'll look back on at the end of my life and wish that I had done, but was too afraid of embarrassing myself to give it a go.

Passwords and the US Copyright Office:

    Password Requirements
    • A password must contain at least sixteen (16) characters, including at least three (3) of the following types of characters:
      • Uppercase letters (A-Z)
      • Lowercase letters (a-z)
      • Numbers (0-9)
      • Special characters(~!@#$%^&*_-+=`|\(){}[]:;”‘<>,.?/)
    • A password cannot contain three of the same characters. For example, it cannot contain the word “eerie” because the letter “e” is used three times in this word.
    • A password cannot be changed more than once per day (24 hours)
    • You must change your password every sixty (60) days or when prompted by the system.
    • When you change your password, you cannot use any of the eleven (11) most recently used passwords for your eCO user account.

Your book should be listed after 72 hours from now, but if you end up failing to get any business merely through the keyword searches of potential customers, I just saw where you can hire influencers at fiverr.

Supposedly, if you own a business and you're not on TikTok, Instagram and the like, you're an idiot. Nonetheless, I find subjecting myself to that nonsense to be almost painful, so I'm still mainly interested in who has a YouTube following.

In checking out the freelancers on the site, when I searched for them anywhere online, most I couldn't find, and those I did find turned out not to have very many people viewing the TikTok or YouTube content they were making public, so I obviously wouldn't dream of handing over any cash to them.

The only exception was Rocky, whose YouTube video from six days ago had 203 views, plus she has over 12,000 followers on TikTok (@rockyreads) and 1000 on Instagram (@rockyisreading), so keep her in mind if, after a couple of months, you decide you want to see what happens if you spend a couple of bucks on advertising.
