Some of those new buick's look tight - especially that Lacrosse. They have a supercharged version of it coming out - will probably be my next car.
^this. Same with the Cadillac. GM shit-canned a lot of their design org a while back, got new blood in there.
It dates back several decades when elites drove in big buicks. They have been status symbols since then....
Big auto co's have design studios or employ them in several areas of the world, they have to ensure a look that will work in many places. The Buick has it's major input from it's Shanghai studio. The La Cross is a product of this studio. http://www.nytimes.com/2009/11/01/automobiles/01DESIGN.html VW just bought a big Italian studio. VW owns Lamborghini. Personal transport is going to get interesting. http://carscoop.blogspot.com/2010/05/volkswagen-group-to-buy-italdesign.html
Check out the Lucernne, that's the expensive version of the Lacrosse. I rented a Lacrosse a few years ago and that thing built like a tank. I think the ground weight was something like 3700 lbs !!!! That Buick crossover vehicle is a sexy bitch!
Hah! They're bring back something called the Regal !!! http://www.buick.com/vehicles/2011/regal/overview.do?evar2=HP_TALAMN_Regal_Masthead
LOL, No-one care about him, he is a typical loser(extreme weak historical figure of China) in eyes of most Chinese. Buicks has plants in China where they build these car in China. If you see an Asian drive Buick in NA, the chance are very high, 80%+, the driver is Chinese.
