You can't block someone when they log out. Once logged out it's easy to copy and paste a post as a quoted post.
Quotes are text that look like The block feature does not prevent them including those that refer to a specific post by a specific member even if that member blocked you.
My outlook exactly. I don't see posts by Dest and so I'm not sure what the problem is. What I didnt know whas that an Ignored Member cannot see my posts but I'm not sure it matters. I regard it as a feature.
They can. It is the blocking feature with that effect. One has to be ignored to be blocked too. Ignore: You can't see their posts. Block: They can't see you posts.
If a user blocks me, do their posts then appear as 'Ignored Member' to me, even if I have not ignored them?
I think getting rid of the block/ignore feature would be the best move. We have individuals here who block folks, then log out, take screenshots of their postings and then address the postings. That's a gross abuse of the function.
Blind without a cane, Boy? @Snarkhund blocked me after I called him out on his "worked at Citadel" fantasy. How convenient. Dude couldn't find Citadel with a map.
