Yannis, you copy and paste once again. At some point do you believe it's possible that you may develop the skill that allows you to compose and write on your own?
"Godwin's Law applies especially to inappropriate, inordinate, or hyperbolic comparisons of other situations (or one's opponent) with Hitler or Nazis or their actions." I don't know, I think I was right on. Taking my comment about how I am pleased that now the Democrats in the Senate will have to have dialogue with the Republicans in the Senate rather than circumvent them, and then drawing a parallel to the Nazi party is...well, hyperbolic. Yes. You've played the youth card with me recently (on the Clinton administration mini-discussion) where I mentioned I was 38. Is it possible you might be going to that well again a little too soon? How old do I have to be to recognize someone is out of order?
Do you know why the Nazi party was successful in its rise in Germany? Because the people didn't think, they just followed along like sheep. People who vote the party line are sheep...it doesn't matter if the party is the republican party, dem party, or any other ideological driven party. The blind party ideology runs roughshod over reason every time... Partisan politics that we see in America is bullshit, and founded on the logical fallacy of a choice between only one possibility or course of action...and another. This is why at least with the health care, we have seen dems suggest some solution, admitting that there is indeed a problem...while the republicans have no solution to the problem...because they won't even admit that there is a problem! The party of no offers nothing but opposition, and no solutions to the very real problems facing Americans... p.s. Perpetually in this forum people say "commies" when referring to the dems, liberals, or anyone who is not carrying the right wing extremist flag...fundamentally that is no different than calling republicans Nazis... Same deal, so when I see you taking steps to educate your party to stop, to fess up and recognize someone is out of order with the "commie" b.s. then I think you would have a moral high ground to speak from...
Two quick points on your commentary: 1. You have no idea what I stand for in life, how I get that point across, and what actions I take to educate folks in or out of my party. 2. This could be cleared up by a simple "typo" by me wherein I meant that, by having Brown break the filibuster proof majority of the Senate, it forces bi-partisan politics (not partisan as originally written in error). Bi-partisan politics, is better than having one side bypass the other simply because it can by rules of majority. My error.
Pretty big difference between: 1. Bi-partisanship is good. 2. Partisanship is good. I still contend that partisanship in its most dogmatic form (which can be left or right) leads to fascism in government. I'll gladly accept it was but an error on your part...
