  2. Don't count your chickens until they're hatched.

I heard that even if Brown wins that the Democrats can slam the bill through anyhow using reconciliation.

  3. Nobody is counting any chickens yet. The democrats ought to be winning this race by 35%. For this even to be close is a victory for Republicans. As far as ramming healthcare through, why would you do that? If a Senate seat in Mass is not safe for dems, what Senate seat is?

Possible, but very unlikely. Why??? Because if reconciliation is used, the GOP can enact lots of stall tactics over various parts of the bill, in addition to stripping out the "preexisting conditions" law in the bill. Since the "preexisting conditions coverage is one of the most important part of Obama's bill, reconciliation won't be used. What they would probably do, is just quickly vote on the bill before Brown can be seated. But I doubt that would work either, as many Democrats will be running away from this health bill, especially Democrats that are up for re-election in Nov., and have to contend with just having lost a Democratic Senate seat in Liberal Massachusetts. LOL!!!! After Brown wins, it will be interesting to see how many Democratic House/Senate members jump ship and become members of the GOP. Even if Brown loses, and it's close, all Democrats have reason to be shitting their pants right now. LOL
