Brokers without charts?

Back in January, I started trading through FXCM for a few months, then moved to Metatrader4 to demo test and learn more about trading. I'm now finally confident in my strategy and am ready to move forward, but after exploring IB and HotspotFX's demo accounts, I saw no option for charting or technical analysis.

So my question is how does a semi-professional/professional trader set themselves up? Would you have a broker and a charting source independent from your broker or am I missing something?

    Thanks for the help.

  2. down load the medved quote tracker (its free) and then you can import IB quotes to it.

  3. I second that...Great program!

Awesome. Looks like good software. Thank you for the recommendations.

Ran into a problem, though. Looks like I need to be 21 to trade with IB. Just turned 20 on the 29th. :(

I'll see if I can get it to work with Oanda.

  5. we do not currently support Oanda within QT. They have an API, but they charge their clients an arm and a leg to use it

Both MetaStock and AmiBroker will work will various brokers, including IB.

BTW, "Brokers w/o Charts". Weren't they a pop band in the 80's?

Never mind. I'm thinking of "Men w/o Hats".
