Investors and traders all watch the 'news' and for individual stocks, of course you read the news on the company. company news is important for stocks especially,. traders have a news ticker for their individual stocks and it's built into your trading software. alerts or earning call etc. for commodity traders they read the weather news or or supply inventories etc. that is news ,,no they don't watch gossip opinion news like CNBC or chit chat news on TV for entertainment news. or fake news known as propaganda news. watching the news is more work for the trader. and reading those annual reports too much work for investors too. etc
