Looking to upgrade to a direct access broker with better trading platform. I tend to trade in 1,000 - 10,000 stock share lots and make about 10 or so round trips a day. I have been with Ameritrade since I am only charged $9.99 each trade regardless of number of shares traded. Any ideas?
Interactive Brokers is one option, but at $0.005 a share it will be more expensive for orders over 2000 shares. TradeStation is another option, but their commissions will be more expensive for orders over 1300 shares. Better or more timely fills should make up for the sometime higher commissions.
