since you say as long as someone hits tier3, he will stay there, not have to climb from tier 1 to 3 again the next month, does that mean if he climbs to tier 3 this month, the next month, the minimum commission per order would be $0.25 since day 1?
When you hit any per share tier, in any calendar month, you contact the service desk if you have no sale rep or your sales rep when you do have one, ask them to review your volume for one of these active trader rates. If you earned it, they change it, then forward that is your rate. https://www.lightspeed.com/pricing/commission/
If you borrow against your investments or if you trade on margin, look at the cost of margin loans. This could be a big part of the total trading costs.
Hey Gaz, this website does brokers reviews and comparisons: https://trustedbrokers.com/uk/ You can access broker vs. broker comparisons from each broker review: https://trustedbrokers.com/uk/etoro/#category_1002 Looks like they only compare Forex and CFD brokers, rather than actual stockbrokers (like IB). Hope this helps
I'd love to switch away from IB but trading Asian futures markets, you really get NO CHOICE other than IB. I wish some brokers would step up the competition here...IB has terrible day trade margin rates, some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced across any industry in my life, and their software is cumbersome and non-standard. Lightspeed offering Hong Kong Futures? I didn't see it...
MidKnight-Sorry but no. We can only offer what Wedbush Futures offers. And, on those exchanges, only liquid symbols with enough open interest to meet WBF's risk requirements.
Thanks for the reply Robert. It blows my mind that brokers think there is more interest to markets at SFE and TMX vs markets at OSE and HKFE. This is false. There is a competitive niche that for some reason (regulatory reasons?) nearly everyone avoids with the exception of IB and AMP. Both AMP and IB have horrible customer service.
comparison of spreads between e-toro and degiro tentative conclusion based on very sparse data (see attached table, with 3 stocks all members of sp 500): e-toro average spread is around 0.22% degiro average spread is around 0.05% can anyone confirm this observation? can anyone supply other quantitative or qualitative comparisons between brokers wrt spreads?
%% IBKR never did an ad on thier customer service/so that's a hint. TTerrible day trade margin?? Thats a blessing in disguise.,
Etoro’s second name is the market maker broker because it offers a variable spread of 1 pip on major currency pairs, like EURUSD. Now this is indeed higher than the average industry spread.
