Broken System

  1. I respect your opinion very much. Honestly, I hope this can continue to be an interesting (and mature) discussion.

I'm about as Anti-Communist as you can get. That's true, you wouldn't be allowed to write on a forum like this in a Communist country, but in a Liberial/Marxist country like America, you are fed lies and propaganda through the Mass Media machine, Hollywood, etc, and then misinformation artists take these lies and formulate them into "opinions" and "think tanks", and then us "little people" take these people's opinions as something they thought of on their own - then we simply regurgitate what they originally put in our brains from the TV -- which is textbook Communist subversion.

And another thing, you are very right about the philosophies not making a difference when the people in control make it such a way to benefit only them. Who did Communism benefit? Russians? Hungarians? Polish? Germans? Who benefits from Capitalism? The American farmer? You? The simple American business owner? Or the huge corporations that are owned by the same ethnic group that go around saying "America and Israel" are brothers in arms (So long as we keep sending them all of our money)"?

If you think you have freedom of speech, then go out and say something critical about Israel, or Jews, go out and put a Christian Cross on public display, go have an opinion about another ethnic group that isn't positive. (I'm assuming you are of European descent.) In the USA, you have all the free speech in the world so long as you are either gay, lesbian, mixed race or non-white. If you are a heterosexual white male, then you're automatically a hatefulracistnazipigthatwantstokill6millionjews. How's that for free speech?

Hell, the illegal Mexican that just crossed the border has more rights in the USA than you do - and I am already convinced that you are an upstanding hard working member of the American nation.

  2. Sure I agree. We must oppose all these things.

Someone said that men fight harder for their interests than their rights and freedom. Can’t remember who said it.

I learned the hard way that exercising your rights in America can come at a price. So be careful how you use your freedom of speech and assembly.

I think many are beginning to see how the US resembles and communist or socialist country but for the wrong reasons.

Is not because of our social programs, how big they are or how much more we need.

We have a different kind of socialism. We socialize the corporate class one way or another. In America gains are privatized and losses socialized at the expense of the working man. If this is not enough the Fed will print money which will create inflation, which works as an additional tax on the working man.

It is an unsustainable system and most Americans are too ignorant to see it. Many believe Capitalism doesn’t work, when in fact, Capitalism was replaced which our great President Ronald Reagan. Yeah that’s right!!!.

From 1940 to 1980 tax rates were above 70%. Yeah people that’s right. And somehow America flourished and was the top industrial power.

During the Reagan Administration taxes were lowered, fiscal deficit got out of control and the era of mergers and acquisitions lead to a new kind of corporate world. The Fed was given more powers and the finance economy was born.

A couple of decades later we are getting up every morning scratching our head and asking ourselves ………how in hell did this happened???

  3. This is why it's always important to keep a level head when people discuss, because we really don't disagree that much!

  5. Replace one with two and we are no different. They might as well be the same. Same shit, same outcome. Neither party is going away anytime soon.

"Let's all share the wealth and gimme some while you're at it".. that's the American version of socialism aka the Democratic Party.. The Republicans realize that they can't stop the runaway spending train so they might as well hop on for the ride... My guess is that the Democrats get more wealth from it but I've seen how some very high-up military people live and believe me, the ones I saw were living very, very far up the food chain...

Communism is too ludicrous an idea to even discuss. The way it worked pretty much everywhere is that the most murderous psychopaths wound up in charge. Without fundamental morality and checks and balances, forgettaboutiiiitttt... It's a big kindergarten and whoever wants to be in charge and can kill off the opposition, that's who is in charge... Criminal gangs are similar. With the Italians they have a format, a style, a structure with a Boss of Bosses, a Consigliere, underbosses, etc.. You have to have permission to kill somebody if they are high enough up in the organization... The Philadelphia Mob guys abandoned that model once and the result was an incredible amount of murder that went on far too long... People are very scarce in our large rainforests for a similar reason. They retaliate and retaliate and so on, I saw an interview with a tribal guy wherein an anthropoligist was asking about the tribal family tree, when each died. The answers were astonishing, nearly every death resulted from the tribe being raided or a raid on another tribe... Check the population densities in rainforests, it's ghost townish compared to civilized areas of the world...

The other end of the political world is the Free Market ideas.. leaving everything to the free market is stupid. You wind up with situations like the US had in 1960.. cars were advertised heavily, they were hugely big business, the pollution was staggering, a person born had a fifty percent chance of being killed or permanently disabled in a car accident... With the free markets nobody is minding the big picture...

The best is a free market with oversight to keep the marketeers from riding roughshod over the rest of the culture...

Well said Eight. I'm constantly amazed when the ignorant among us yearn for the Utopia that is Socialism. To quote Margaret Thatcher "The problem with Socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money!"

Be careful what you ask for. I've lived in a country with a military dictatorship, and you don't want any part of it.

If you're ready to give up your personal freedoms so that you can answer to some "authority figure" who you think can cure our ills, then I invite you to spend some time in your local library doing a more careful study of history.

    Beautiful post.
Sad, it's what have you done for me lately,
syndrome with the world turning against us.
We helped so many, and now
we are getting slapped down, and kicked
    while we are down.
