Monthly update: Couple of changes in terms of allocation going forward. What I plan to do is to have equal distribution between futures, stocks, and dividend/option. As long as my futures trading is consistent, I will keep it that way. So the updated future allocation will be: futures-25% stocks-25% dividend/option-25% crypto-5% real estate-15% venture-5% I updated my stocks screen to include 30 stocks from original 20 in the next allocation. After reviewing the list, 30 gives me the diversification that i'm comfortable with. I also spread out my crypto across 20 names based on market cap. Unfortunately, there's currently no good screener for crypto where you can filter by type/project. I just wanted some exposure and feel like spreading it out this way (for now) makes sense. Will i end up owning some hot meme coins? sure, but over time i should have most of it in decent projects anyway. New capital allocation is still going to be done on a quarterly basis. July is the next month. Next few posts will look into the update for each investment.
Futures Just been grinding MES. My risk appetite for futures has gone down since my NQ days. Not trading 5/31 so this is it for the month
Stocks i sold out of my dividend stocks. Since I'll have a separate dividend/option category in NUSI etf, I feel like additional group focusing on slow dividend stocks is just redundant. So now my screener is focused on growth mainly (about 1/3 of those stocks pay about <=1% in dividend). Again no new updates on portfolio until July. Got my $32 from NUSI. Cha ching!
Crypto This whole market has taken a dump; which is good news if you're long term believer like me. But unfortunately for now, Hopefully it stays depressed for few more months by the time i'm ready to add in more funds.
Real estate Money moved from escrow to now invested. Since I missed the first qtr distribution, will see the 2nd quarter results (not sure what month I'll get it) Venture Same thing in this investment. just moved from escrow. Nothing to update. It's out there in the ether...
Overall So it would be confusing to track this on a monthly basis due to future deposits. It would be just straightforward to track if from the growth value-cost basis standpoint for YTD Here's how I am tracking it overtime the performance will revert to more accurate reflection of how how i manage these investments based on my target allocation.
Have a venture opportunity that came up. Adding a small investment since it's a small operation shared between 4 guys. Should start seeing this new cash flow in the next month. Supplier has a farm out on the west coast.
