Bringing Jobs back to America.....

  1. AI Overview

An average Chinese iPhone assembler in a factory like Foxconn's in Zhengzhou, China, can earn around $3.15 per hour. This translates to roughly $15.00 per day for a typical 5 to 10-hour shift, depending on overtime.

    PennySnatch Overview

In the US the average tech assembly job pays $18.50 an hour or 6 times the cost of labor in China. This is the reason 70,000 American factories (Trump math) closed and moved to countries with less expensive labor costs. And guess what? Those manufacturing jobs ain't coming back. Americans working for $3.15 an hour? Shuuuure they will. All the tariffs in the world are not going to make American's work so hard for so little or be happy about buying an iPhone that cost $5,000.00 but it's Made In America.

These tariffs are a made to order economic and soon to follow social crisis. How will the powers that created this crisis use it? Hell if I know, but I know they are not going to waste it.

In response to your comment, my smartass instinct wants to rear its ugly head: "Well, no shit, Sherlock. Everyone knows that already."

That said, instead of pretending tariffs are some magic fix, how about we focus on investing in industries that actually make sense for the US in the long run? Maybe renewable energy or tech that requires high skill set and not just cheap labor. Or, instead of killing global trade, why not create policies that bring companies back to the US with real incentives like R&D tax breaks or infrastructure improvements?

After all, these companies aren’t coming back because of a sudden wave of patriotism. It's because they’re getting backed into a corner by Trump's tariff threats, which is just a twisted form of corporate extortion with a shiny American flag on top.

We are driven by algorithm e.g. Youtube algorithm. I am sure X, Meta and all other social medias do that. Driven by increasing viewership to generate ad cash and the algo takes over. Humans are by nature do not like to over think. Only those who think a lot with their own intellect(definitely not from YT or Meta) can achieve breakthrough. What we get from an algo driven society, a dichotomous society.

Please google the "multiplier effect" of manufacturing. My memory is a bit old. A dollar from manufacturing labor will generate >20x in support industries.

  6. Why would do that when we have the best government in decades.

Hey, man, that’s usually how protests work. People take to the streets when everything’s perfect and their lives are totally thriving. People famously risk arrest, beatings, and tear gas because things are just going way too well for them. Next thing you know, folks will be rioting over too much healthcare and affordable housing. Seriously, nothing screams "life is perfect" like getting your head cracked open at a protest.

  8. Wrong paradigm. Nothing to protest. Only to celebrate.

Nothing to protest? Are you fucking out of your mind? People are sick and tired of his megalomaniac persona. It’s like watching a reality show but with actual global consequences.

Take, for instance, that Zelensky moment when Trump flat out shamed him publicly in front of the camera. Straight-up jaw-dropping. I mean, it's one thing to be blunt, but publicly throwing a leader under the bus like that—especially one in the middle of a war? That’s next-level, even for the Orange Man himself. Total disregard for diplomacy, let alone human decency. Can’t imagine what must’ve been going through Zelensky’s mind—probably something like, "Is this really happening right now?"
