By definition it's not a landslide, because there is no "overwhelming margin". But it's definitely a comeback, considering the popular vote. As for the presidency... that's a pendulum.

  2. Not sure Harris is to the left of Sanders. One problem is that what is a leftist/Progressive has been muddied in recent years. There is the trans rights, woke, pro massive immigration, pro war, increase military spending, leave the rich and Wall Street alone etc left which is Biden/Harris and there is the healthcare for all,tax the rich, wealth equality, less defense spending, free higher education, regulate Wall Street etc left which is Sanders /Warren etc. They are not the same and Harris is nothing like a Bernard Sanders /Elizabeth Warren type leftest in my opinion. One of the reasons Harris lost is because Sanders /Warren Progressives do not like her or Joe Biden.

The AP still hasn't called Michigan despite 95% + of the vote being in, it looks like they are trying to avoid the perception of a landslide.

As things stand right now, Trump is looking like he will sweep all the battleground states.

At least GXB is here and not hiding. The other folks are busy waiting for the next narrative to be handed down to them to push, or perhaps their miniscule contracts ran out.

MSNBC and CNN wouldn't call the full race for hours after it had been called by other sources. They were still talking about paths to victory at 4 AM. They just couldn't give in.

  6. I think Trump won by an overwhelming margin.

A landslide victory is an election result in which the victorious candidate or party wins by an overwhelming margin.[1] The term became popular in the 1800s to describe a victory in which the opposition is "buried",[1] similar to the way in which a geological landslide buries whatever is in its path. A landslide victory is the opposite of an electoral wipeout; a party which wins in a landslide typically inflicts a wipeout on its opposition. What constitutes a landslide varies by the type of electoral system, but the term is colloquial. Even within an electoral system, there is no consensus on what sized margin makes for a landslide.[1]

  7. I was definitely waiting to hear from Mr Atlantic who said Harris would get 90 million votes and 400 Electoral votes.

You're gloating but gain nothing from a Trump Presidency. At the end of 4Y you'll be poorer and just as dumb.

COVID broke who? Your furher almost died from it.

  9. The coalition Democrats tried to bring together didn't work. The kitchen table issues outside of abortion favors Republicans. On cultural issues, the left has been too woke, pro-trans, pro-illegal immigration, and pro-criminal rights for the vast majority of Americans. Combined with inflation and there you have it. The trans ad Trump ran was telling and I think it speaks more than about trans people. The, "Kamala is for they/them, Trump is for you". When he was disciplined (as he often wasn't) that's pretty much how he campaigned, to a group that represented a majority of the country, instead of offering different factions different things. If Trump were more disciplined he probably could have gotten all of WI/MI/PA/NV over the line in the Senate column. I don't know about AZ, because Kari Lake is a headcase.

  10. I know I'm harping but another way to look at it is US Presidential elections are decided by around 8 states,Trump won all those states, that can be considered an overwhelming margin.
