Do you mean what "is" a haircut or what are the haircut numbers? Haircuts in JBO's are the same across the board on options. They are 15% up and down for equities, 10% up and down for dow and s&p, 15% for nasdaq and Russel.

It's not a question of how high, it's a matter of haircut, which are risk based and the numbers I posted above are the thresholds. Most Jbo's will also let you borrow money from the JBO to go over your haircut depending on your strategy, amount of capital and experience. I'm not sure you understand the concept of haircut though and I'm kind of tired to try to explain it. If you do a search under my name and haircut, you should see a detailed explanation.

  4. hi mav, i guess you can offer what bright offers its traders overnite as well, a plus if thats the case. i know their are different variables involved, i did not know that v-trader can offer the high extended leverage overnite, its never mentioned online for the most part, a plus to most traders .

  5. Don,
    Do you allow block trading?

  6. With over 400 traders, with accounts from $15K to over a $million, we "allow" most anything that makes sense for the trader and the firm.

We treat each trader as in independent business person. We often discuss strategies, new ideas, trading size, and a everything else to come up with "test programs" based on individual requests. We try hard not to dictate, rather to work with our traders for their bottom line. Retention of traders is top priority.
