I too have tried repeatedly to contact Echo, I also know of 2 other members here at Elite who have left emails, phone messages, etc. with Echo and none have been returned...Don at Bright returned my message within 15 minutes....as a business owner myself, if a company like Echo can't return calls or emails from potential clients and customers it sends me a red flag... this is really a bad sign for a company to do this

I have trouble reaching the guys sometimes too, but in their defense, it's because they are run ragged managing the growth of the company. I was in the head office for a few months and can say that it's not that they are neglectful or disrespectful. Jeff and Rob put in 12-15 hours a day every day, most of it with their ear glued to a phone. The last time I spoke to them, they were in the process of hiring more admin staff.

    That's not a defense; it's an excuse.

  5. You are fishing for a response here.

First I'm on this message board. My email address is rtharp@echotradeonline.com

I have a backup at rtharp@netzero.net (if a spamer even thinks of spamming me get ready as I take serious steps to have your Internet Service provider shut you down)

I'm the office manager at San Diego and you are welcome to always call me at 619-325-8400 I can usually answer most of their questions.

I'm a very regular poster on the board and happy to answer questions.

Feel free to private message me here

I brought this up with Jeff/Rob they are extremely busy and are hiring more staff.

  7. strange how the 2 people who post that they have trouble with echo are new members here. almost makes you wonder if they're not fakes trying to toss mud.
I've been on this board for a year or so....I've met or talked(phone) to many people on this board..so one can see I have no bias.
I traded retail until last month...and all I can say is I've received excellent service from Echotrade. When I have a question or a problem it's a quick IM to Rob .
On the other hand, and I'm not making this up...when I was shopping for a pro shop last year.....I heard that there was a Bright office near me...I e-mailed Don about it....3 days later he sent a message to call the Vegas office(no toll free #)....why couldn't he just tell me if the office was still open? Because he didn't want to admit that there was only 1 trader there? If he would have just e-mialed me saying, "yes, we have an office near you. Here's the #" I"d probably be a Bright trader now. I;m glad he didn't. 'cause frankly, I love being an "echotrader".
Echo = total freedom. great software/connection. it's just the best of everything.
so if you're not at echo yet, but want to ask questions..yeah it might take a day or 3 to get a response...but believe me, if you're at echo..you don't wait. ever.

great software? which software do you use?

  10. I actually use 2 different programs...both from echo.....one main and one back-up.
Look, I've never met Jeff or Rtharp, Jon or anyone from echo...so you can call it a "plug" ....but I actually think its a straight up, un-biased opinion.....which is pretty hard to come by on this board.

and as far as the actual software goes..the main is Sterling, which is on the echo site if you look around. Th eother one is great too....but its not on the site so I'm won't reveal that. But if you'd rather be stuck with no choice in software..and no innovation..then don't go echo. Ok, that was a plug.
