Desk fees include all software for Redi+,use of capital, connectivity, etc. and are refunded annually based on share volume (1Mil = 100%, 1/2mil=50%, etc.). We tried the "no desk fee" model, and fell into the same trap as other firms...a whole lot of empty stations, wasted T1 lines, and per office losses that kept costs up for other traders. This way, all the serious traders pay zero (or very little) for desk fees, and we don't burden the others. Don
I heard Bright has a Vancouver office. Do they allow Canadian traders? What kind of deals do they offer, plus I cannot find info. about Generic Trading in Canada. They are supposed to have an office in Toronto.
1 million shares traded yearly gets 100% refund? Thats not alot of shares at all. Did you mean 1 million shares monthly?
Average trader = 1Mil monthly. With the super low volatility, and much lower pricing for shares above 1,000 per order, most of our experienced traders are taking advantage by trading in the 2,000-4,000 range per trade these days. 5 trades in/our per day...not much activity. And, for the new people...$20 per day isn't bad for what we offer. Best of both worlds... Don
