Bright Slashes Rates for 2010.

  1. What's the overnight leverage? 6x? So is that $140,000 with $20,000 account?

    Don,

What percentage of your traders who have purchased your education are profitable?

  5. about 30-40 cents(total) per 1000 thousand shares is what i have heard, the same # you have posted. That is not through GSEC though, but another major clearing firm, but probably ball park number for them as well.

  6. Well, since 80% have and continue training...and over 50% have been with us since 2003 or before (long term, career traders) that should count for something.

But, to be fair, as in any business we lose about half the first couple of years. Those who don't participate in training, well, they tend to go away much, much sooner.

  7. LOL, man do I wish. With overhead, costs are near the low end of our trader commish...yes, we break even on a per share basis with a good chunk of our shares.

GSEC (love em or hate em) is the best, but not the cheapest. The benefits outweigh some of the costs, as in all business ventures.

  8. Quote from Purple Barney:

Just a quick question for Don, or any one who knows:

Can I execute MOC orders through Bright trading? I heard that it was difficult/impossible through Redi+. If yes, can I link my own programs through the system's API to send orders? How many orders can I send per second?

Currently I am on the Sterling platform, which sends a max of 30 orders/sec. This is a huge problem for me.

What I need from a firm:

    100-200 orders/sec

    75-100x leverage

    <0.003 commission

I am willing to contribute $100k to my account and trade over 10 million shares per month with the above criteria. Can Bright trading or any other firms offer me this?

I think we spoke and or emailed. With a FIX protocol connection this is certainly doable...I could have you speak with a group in my building who use this if you like. You would likely have to pay for some programming.

  9. Sure, overhead was not in the equation there, and that rate can only be secured by doing some serious volume.
