Bright Slashes Rates for 2010.

Discussion in 'Prop Firms' started by Don Bright, Dec 10, 2009.

  1. Why is it that the only firms that offer .2/1000 with a profit split are in Canada?

  3. My friends at Swift have a deal to bulk all symbols together and pay a ticket charge for clearing. Not exactly sure of the numbers, but they have been grandfathered in somehow.

Rates from GS are one thing, and then the additional costs of running the business need to be considered. Compliance alone is a staggering number, accounting, legal, and all the rest really adds up. Not cheap running a legit firm, as the other firms can attest to. We run a tight ship, but with rates at this level, not much further to go.

3rd thing...the idea that GSEC and/or Bright has a clue to what the trading side of GS is doing is just wrong. I'll swear that "I know nothing" LOL.

    All the best,

    Don

Traders are a paranoid group by nature don. This thread is killing me. The idea of some huge conspiracy and quabbling over fractions of a penny is rediculous. Keep up the good work and opportunities to traders that can benefit and make money inside the framework you provide.

This is precisely the lowest price point I've seen -- at least the cost that, for one firm of moderate scale, was charged to sub-LLCs. Obviously in this example the profitable prop firm's marginal cost is lower than .2, but that's as low as I've seen passed to the user.
