Brief synopsis of socialist shooter murders in AZ?

Discussion in 'Politics' started by phenomena, Jan 9, 2011.

  1. I have been in airports and had unplanned layovers etc. for the last few days and have only just late last night heard about the shootings.

So, has anything been established or speculated upon about the shooters particular motives for these particular targets? Was the child an accident? To what extent did his left wing extremist beliefs(as demonstrated by left wing writings being his favorite books - mein kamf, commie manifesto) contribute to his act? I haven't come up with anything so far...

  2. The media has been full on blaming Palin, the Tea Party, Beck, Limbaugh and the entire GOP for their talks of violence.

I think Jane Fonda believes Palin did the shooting herself.

  3. Yeap.....just another TOO PERFECT of "AN EVENT" to get all the hacks on one side of the fence yelling at all the hacks on the other side.......in the lovely two party system con job false left/right paradigm.

Now we will next get all the politically "directed" laws/initiatives that will have nothing to do with REALITIES, but everything to do with DIRECTED AGENDAS!

Oh yes, how politicians and hacks LOVE a good crisis............ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aUCbVUo-w6k&playnext=1&list=PL1D6F5DFCCED2F1E0&index=29

  4. Anything is possible, but it is doubtful he was a socialist; an atheist perhaps. He has a lot more in common with the anti-government crowd than a socialist. A socialist is by definition someone who believes that government should be more engaged in social issues such as social security and health care.
Profile: Arizona shooting suspect Jared Loughner

Schoolmates said Mr Loughner was a loner who was often disruptive

The main suspect behind an attack on Arizona Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, which left her critically wounded and at least six of people dead, has been named locally as 22-year-old Jared Loughner.

Witnesses said Mr Loughner opened fire with an automatic firearm in a supermarket where Ms Giffords was holding an event to meet her constituents. He was then wrestled to the ground.

Police have not officially named the man they are holding but have said he may have "a mental issue".

Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik said the suspect "has kind of a troubled past" and may have acted with an accomplice.

The FBI is now investigating a series of rambling messages posted on social networking sites in recent weeks.

Videos of text posted on a Youtube channel set up the name Jared Lee Loughner show a deep distrust of the government and religion, describing US laws as "treasonous" and speaking repeatedly of his wish to create a new currency.

"The government is implying mind control and brainwash on the people by controlling grammar," one of the videos read.

"No! I won't pay debt with a currency that's not backed by gold and silver! No! I won't trust in God!"

  5. A slightly hysterical thread title phenomena. I have most the books quoted in the culprits reading list in my library and I am not a socialist or even remotely left wing. There is a suggestion that the individual had gravitated towards a 3rd position political outlook which is where a lot of politically confused mental defectives end up.

  6. 377OHMS

    377OHMS

The apologists are out in force, "he wasn't a left-wing nut, he was just a regular nut!".

Now that it is clearly established that he is not a teahadist the lefties are going to make him out as the victim.

  7. By all accounts he was of a left wing bent at college in 2007 but he looks to have swung into to some hazy and somewhat confused political mindset. I was in his youtube page and its just plain non attributable drivel.

  8. These titles were on his ''favorite books'' list however. Not just ''in his library''. A bit of a difference I should think.

I wouldn't say there's any evidence that he was 3rd position. Now they are trying to tie him into American Renaissance, which they describe as an "antisemitic group". This is garbage on both counts. AmRen is not an "antisemitic group" by any stretch of the imagination. They have jewish attendees and speakers, and have kicked people out for their incessant anti jewish rhetoric.

I see you revised your initial position from saying that he wasn't a left winger, to him formerly being a left winger. But of course he became "normal" non left wing nut before he committed the shootings... :D

  9. There was no revision on my part just the observation that at one point in time he was alleged to have held left-wing views. Not only is Marx a long time favourite but Hayek shares the dog eared privelage of being a frequently re-read tome.

  10. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL........Oh my gosh that was just too FUNNY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D  :D
