    It's gotten a bit off topic... weird for ET I know.

    Based on the 1% metric, it's clearly a hedge. I would really like to see the specific strikes and expirations and ratios to get a better sense of their position. Even then, it's not like Bridgewater is any more prescient than anyone else. A lot of people smarter than Dalio have been wrong about a lot of stuff over the past few years in terms of economics, market behavior and what the administration would or wouldn't do.
