Wouldn’t surprise me, again I think the underlying cause is stress related from their working environment. You want to criticize cops for their behavior but we forget or won’t criticize criminals that target cops. Which there’s an increasing trend in these crimes. So tack on the feeling that every contact you have could be life threatening ? Yes we need to hold cops accountable, but at the same time we need to have a little empathy, see the situation from the cops perspective, perhaps some better training - specially in deescalation techniques and without a doubt some mental health support.
I don't feel like making excuses for people's poor job performance. If you don't like your job, quit; simple as that.
Start by asking @fan27 whether he thinks racism exists in Murica. And then drill down from there. You'll eventually and quickly get your answer.
It's kinda sad when people resort to this but as a society we have already accepted that statues are threatening and hurt people's feelings so what do you expect? Who is to say which statue butt hurts someone? This is the road you lefties created and it's a two way street no matter how much you want it to be one way.
I think there is a difference between people who fought to keep other people as slaves and an innocent women murdered in her own home by police.
You are correct, but once you go down the path of allowing vandalism as accepted expression of anger then the door opens for all the crazies, not just a few.
You're being ham-fisted here. Some statues were of people who were traitors to America and who fought for the preservation of slavery. Meanwhile, what did this young woman do wrong to evoke the ire of the guy who smashed her statue?
