At what number would you say it would be fair, your not happy at 98.3%

And I hope you see the fallacy of picking a percent instead of looking at each case

This is beyond ironic...a summer of property, statues and the like destroyed and the artist is stunned and shocked when they came for his statue. Sorry pal, that's how "the cookie crumbles".

Lol....nice try pal. Once a behavior is deemed acceptable by society, that behavior will happen with greater frequency. That is a factual observation and is hardly racist. Move along now.

  9. I understand your point but believe you are mistaken that media coverage of police brutality pulls resources away from fighting crime. Speak with a city council or mayor of a city...the media coverage does not dictate their budget or resources to fight crime. It just dictates what is in the general public but the police and city resources are heavily into fighting gang violence but apart from putting a cop every 10 feet 24 hours a day in those neighborhoods, it is going to take a lot more.

Also the justice system is not geared towards punishing cops. the union protects police officers. Cops don't tell on other cops, it is a code and Internal Affairs always has trouble getting cops to turn others in. It is no secret. Let's look at all the cops with repeated complaints who still are out there on the beat interacting with the public. If you were a poor waitress with numerous complaints would management keep you serving customers?

Particular case? We all can pull numerous cases of cops either getting off or WOULD HAVE GOTTEN OFF if not for a video or media coverage of the event. Until police can correctly police themselves, we need some assistance from the all might camera.

Cmon... here you have to admit that in GENERAL even disregarding race..cops get off for bad behavior all the time because cops are asked to police cops...that will never work.

I’m not saying there aren’t bad cops. I have cops in my family, have known several over the years, my best man was a cop at one time in his life, very close friend is a Judge, once DA and yes they look out for each other, much like what you find from combat Vet’s serving together.

All the cops I know are good people, fathers, brothers, husbands. Most are underpaid for their job. They have good days and bad days, try spending every day at work dealing with criminals and victims and see how you feel at the end of your shift.. tis’ why alcoholism and divorce are so prevalent in that profession.

I’m not making excuses for bad behavior, the latest incident where the cop shot the man standing in the garage holding his cell phone...... should never have happened, no excuse, that individual should not be behind a badge.

Part of it is the training, but part is today’s atmosphere and attitude towards LEO’s. If your calm, cooperative and non-combative, it will go along way in making sure everyone goes home.

Edit. If you want police reform start with civil asset forfeiture and private prisons.
