Debka.com has said Saddam and sons had rented Cote De Zur hotel in Syria. American intelligence would have checked this out. Debka also said at the beginning of war the Iraqi second in command was dead but he appeared live on tv. So much for that.

Do you really believe anything Iraqi tv has shown since the war started has been live except those images that suit the governments purposes? Targeting a hotel in Syria would be awfully awkward for the US dont you think?
I presume Saddam was vaporized. But just cross fingers for that it is not a residential area or a hospital or anything like that with civilians inside attacked due to false intelligence.
After hearing the questions of whether he was dead as soon as we started bombing, and after hearing the suppositions of Bin Laden in the Afghanistan confrontation being dead, I won't believe it until I see more proof. SP
