I never called you a bigot my friend, and if you took it that way I apologize. My argument is how we view man. If you view man as lazy and self serving, who will sacrifice the good of his country for his own short term needs, then you will create a government based on those bigoted beliefs.
you do realize I use the term bigot as innocently as I would use the word ignorant. It's just "bigot" gets more attention from the liberals. Ignorant or bigot, they both mean the same thing. We form opinions based on things we don't understand, and if we don't understand we fear, and what we fear we hate. Where is this evil man that loves himself so much that he is willing to destoy the middle class for his own gain? And where is this man who is so lazy he thinks the whole world should work to support him? I hear about them on tv and in news stories, but I have never actually met one. Which one of my neighbors are like that? I've never met one, and they are from all over the world. And once you get to talking to "them" ("them" being them who weren't brought up like you) you get to finding out they are just like you.
I did meet Ross Perot once, and he probably was certifiably insane. He wanted to open a new data center on the beach, but there was a coral reef in the way. He couldn't understand why they wouldn't let him just blow up the coral reef. And this was at the time when a big damn got stopped because of the "snail darter." And he said, "I've instructed all my crew if they find an endangered species who might stop us, to just kill it." and that's a true story, but I think he was the execption, I doubt any of his kids agreed with him. Sometimes, you just have to let these people die off. and the old socialists and communists and democrats are dying off, and hopefully not reproducing. Once one of their kids ever sells anything on ebay they are a capitalist for life.
no, big enough isn't good enough. We are the best damn country God ever invented and we need the best government man ever invented, and that could be very big or very small.
e yes, as long as we the people are growing our govenrment must also grow, but not in scope, just in size. The problem arises when the people want their government to do more and more for them. Hey, it's a democracy, the people get what they vote for. And then the government starts growing not only in size like it should, but also in it's questionable responsibilities. And finally the only way you can come up with the last payment is to kill the goose who has been laying all the golden eggs you have been pawning. And then it's chapter 7 or eleven or thirteen something, reset, and we start the game all over again just like you do when you are playing Monopoly.
