Let's see what Brazil's Trump is up to now that he is about to lose an election... Brazil could face ‘more severe’ unrest than US Capitol riot The elections chief’s warning comes as far-right President Jair Bolsonaro, who is trailing in the polls, casts doubts on the voting system. https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2022/7/7/brazil-could-face-more-severe-unrest-than-us-capitol-riot Brazil, which is due to hold a presidential election in October, is at risk of facing a “more severe” incident than the January 6, 2021 attack on the United States Capitol, according to the head of the country’s electoral court. Edson Fachin’s comments on Wednesday follow the latest polls that showed Brazil’s far-right President Jair Bolsonaro trailing behind former leader Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva. Bolsonaro has cast doubts on the voting system, without evidence, going as far as threatening to reject an unfavourable outcome in the elections. “We may experience an episode even more severe than the January 6 [attack] on the Capitol,” Fachin said in a presentation at the Wilson Center in Washington, DC. On January 6, 2021, hundreds of supporters of then-President Donald Trump overwhelmed police officers as they stormed the US Capitol in Washington, DC, in an attempt to violently prevent the certification of President Joe Biden’s election victory. Fachin also warned he would not accept any interference in the electoral process. The involvement of Brazil’s armed forces in the presidential race has to be cooperative and must never be interfering, he said. Earlier this year, the electoral court created a transparency commission with representatives of several public institutions, including the military, to ensure greater security for the voting process. Military leaders have broadly said the armed forces will respect any election result. Still, some military officials have echoed Bolsonaro’s comments about potential weaknesses in Brazil’s voting system. “Evidently, we will not accept this type of circumstance. Collaboration yes, intervention never,” Fachin said.
Of all the countries in the world, Brazil might be the most important from a natural security standpoint. A substantial amount of the world’s oxygen comes from the Amazon rainforest. Should they keep up deforestation the whole world could be at risk. Bolsonaro leaving is good for the planet as he didn’t care at all about preserving it.
Another fascist dictator wannabe using the Trump playbook... Trump Endorses Brazil’s Bolsonaro Who Has Already Declared Election Rigged As He Trails in the Polls https://www.mediaite.com/politics/t...ed-election-rigged-as-he-trails-in-the-polls/ Former President Donald Trump endorsed Brazil’s Jair Bolsonaro on Thursday praising the South American autocrat as the “Tropical Trump.” “President Jair Bolsonaro of Brazil,’Tropical Trump’ as he is affectionately called, has done a GREAT job for the wonderful people of Brazil,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social. “When I was President of the U.S., there was no other country leader who called me more than Jair seeking Tariff & Tax cuts, Trade Renegotiations, Strengthened Drug & Border Policies (to put the “bad guys” in jail!), Military Help, & more. President Bolsonaro loves Brazil beyond all else. He is a wonderful man, and has my Complete & Total Endorsement!!!” Trump concluded. Trump’s endorsement of a foreign leader for reelection is an odd move from a former president of the United States, but even more so given Bolsonaro’s unpopularity in Brazil and his controversial tenure as president. Bolsonaro, who has publicly endorsed political violence, has repeatedly claimed the October 2nd election in Brazil is rigged against him. “He’s claimed multiple times — without evidence — that the electronic voting system is ripe for tampering,” Axios reported in July noting he “echoes Trump’s election fraud claims.” The Los Angeles Times reported on Thursday: For months, Bolsonaro has been preempting his own expected loss in October’s presidential vote by borrowing from the playbook of former President Trump, whom he describes as his “idol” and with whom he shares several political advisors. He has repeatedly criticized the integrity of Brazil’s voting system and has suggested that he may not accept the results of the election, which most polls predict he will lose decisively in a runoff with former President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, known as Lula. Bolsonaro’s lackluster handling of the Covid-19 pandemic, which he downplayed, coupled with Brazil’s struggling economy has left him weakened politically and led to concerns he will not accept the results of the election and leave power peacefully.
Bolsonaro will lose the election based on the ongoing tally -- despite Bolsonaro trying to have police block people from voting. Let's see if Bolsonaro follows the will of the people or seizes power as an authoritarian. It's happened before in South American politics in a country in which someone is losing in the election vote count. The current President that's trailing in the vote will then use the military to seize control because things weren't going his way...the false flag for the seizure was "election fraud". This will eventually happen one day in the U.S. Presidential Election...its just a matter of when and not if. wrbtrader
This guy already did what Trump did during the election in which he thought he could never lose and then became a little worried by some of the polls pointing for Lula going into the election... He stated that the only way he can lose is by "election fraud". Simply, Bolsonaro presented a false flag to his followers as an explanation for an election loss when it's confirmed that he in fact did lose. I don't remember the value commodities in Brazil but if there's military involvement as in a coup of Lula or refusal of a peaceful transformation of power... The U.S. markets will go to hell with volatility for a few days because of another sore loser. wrbtrader
