Brazil Approves Bill Regulating Use of Bitcoin as Payment

  1. A few sentences coming from op's text:

Bitcoiners these days are happier and happier when a government control their coin. Unbelievable.

  3. I hope they know what they are doing. Crypto isn’t doing well and with things like LUNA getting collapsed and the recent fiasco of FTX and Binance deal pushing cryptocurrencies further into the shambles. The end seems near now, so I don’t understand why accept btc now.

It does not give the government of Brazil control over Bitcoin or crypto assets

Brazil has chosen to adopt Bitcoin and crypto assets in their country and the citizens are able to benefit from this new digital asset that has value anywhere in the world

Brazil will benefit by bringing Bitcoin and crypto assets into the economy. I hear rumors that Mexico is working on adopting Bitcoin

I can see why you're very bitter, though. Poor Spain and its citizens are being left behind and forced to use Euro that has lost big value and is not accepted outside of Europe

The US $ will continue to Dog-E style the Euro and as a result, the economy of Spain is in shambles. Poor Spaniards, if only their leaders would adopt Bitcoin and crypto assets into the country

Probably not. Most likely Brazil has chosen to regulate, not adopt, Crypto. I'd avoid reading more into that article than is there. No nation with firmly established institutions, a well functioning central bank, and that issues its own currency is going to make Crypto legal tender, assuming they know what they are doing. But start regulating crypto, yes they might do that. Crypto is a means of payment that depends on cyber space. Those that have unfettered access to the internet will be able to use it as they see fit. No law is needed to allow that. Any laws will in be in the nature of regulation or banning crypto.

Nevertheless there will be a plethora of articles predicting this or that nation may adopt crypto. The won't.

You're trying to hard to spin this to a negative, but your opinion will not have any impact

Brazilians will benefit by having access to global crypto digital assets. They can have access to US $ easily. They will virtually have a bank and investment platform on their phones. They are already trading these crypto assets more than the local stock market

They will be able to do all of these with full support from their government

Brazilians can trade or transfer value to anyone in the world without Western Union and their usurious fees

Brazil will benefit by adding this global digital financial ecosystem to their GDP

Brazil adopting Bitcoin and crypto assets without declaring it as legal tender is better in a way as it does not force any merchant to accepting it. It will be a choice

The question I have for you is this, do you have any evidence that Brazilians have not had access to global crypto all along? Brazil is a major, and modern nation with widespread internet access. We are not talking about Malawi here. Brazilians don't need a law to do any of the things you claim a new law will allow. They do need a law to regulate however. That's most likely what's going on here.

ok. I have provided you with my opinion and answers, but you're just repeating your questions

If you don't agree with Brazil's decision, go over there and tell them. I cannot do that for you

In the past, nocoiners complained about Bitcoin not being of any use for anything

Today, Bitcoin and crypto assets are adopted by entire countries and cities and worldwide through Visa/Mastercard and PayPal

El Salvador, Brazil, Dubai, Lugano, Gibraltar and other places

Still, today nocoiners are complaining about something

Many hardcore nocoiners are part of bawlbo cult
