Im a catastrophe insurance adjuster and Ive been on stand-by to handle oil spill clean up claims pretty much since the distaster started. I havent been deployed yet, so that means to this date no indiviudals have been paid a dime. Im guessing the business interruption claims volume will be massive.
I don't know. I think the main point is not how much taxes they pay but campaign contributions. In BP's case, Obama takes top honors with 71k, chump change compared to GS's 1m. Obama was a bit hit with the voters and I guess big cos.
