Uniforms? Lots of people wear uniforms that are not militaristic. Nurses, janitors, airline pilots, bus drivers, athletes...well you get the idea. I was a scout in the mid 70's. Some of my fondest memories growing up are of scouting. Among many others I earned both the first Aid and Lifesaving merit badges. Can I assume the PC police wouldn't object to those skills?

my way of thinking is more fundamental in that i prefer to encourage development rather than enforcing it - and taking away individuality is kind of enforcement trick. and by development i mean most of all the ability to be creative, since this is at the very core of our nature as humans.
