Here is an old quote 01-20-10 05:29 PM -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Quote from Ivanovich: Stock_trad3r did that, too. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- lol. so you see alot in common between stock trad3r and me? Back then stock trad3r was saying we were going to have a "massive" stock rally during 09. He was ridiculed off of ET for his belief. I'm just curious if you ever changed you opinion of him. I'm sorry for dragging up this old memory. But, I have always wanted to hear your views on how it turned out?
If you're going to state what happened, you need to state all of what happened. He was ridiculed because he was calling for new highs right up until the crash. Then, all the way down to 666 he was, every day, calling for the bottom. The man would have lost a fortune were he truly in the market. Lastly, he posted several option threads (which I can find the link to if you want me to) that were - again - miserable bottom calls that ended in complete failure. He was known for being the #1 contrarian indicator on this site. And I can't be positive, but I think the day (or thereabouts) that we DID hit the bottom, he threw in his bullish towel and talked about going short. The man was a complete and total basket case.
You are probably right about the lost part. For years now I have been reading these market prediction threads. They so often fade into the wallow into mud slinging, back stabbing, innuendo tossing, character slams, ethnic or racial taunts and personality bashes between ETâers. I did not ask him my question out of disrespect. I have no quarrel with him. I merely wanted to hear if he had any different thoughts on the subject now that time had past and the markets have been in a continuous rally.
I remember his "buying calls part 1" and part 2. When that was done, I bought calls at the bottom and started part 3 but my thread was deleted.
SPY etf up 13 fucking days in a row!!!! Tomorrow 14!!!!! Keep the uptrend intact, bulls have certainly forgotten what a down day feels like!!!!!
Up 13 days in a row! Amazing! But how about some analysis? 9/14/1995, SPY was up 12 days in a row -- well, still made new high on 9/20. I guess you could make 40bps when it finally went down if you are the sort that likes to fade... Alright already. A no-volume crappy countertrend rally. My vision is a now a high on April 16th or 19th 2010 in the equities market. Obviously the turd is too big to flush and we need more stupid money in. I'm good with a vacation from equities 'cause I'd rather not trade then do a crappy sucker trade. See you in April.....
