Boolean algebra inside.

  1. Its usage is free* (the code would not be available in detail, however) to those who can meet an obligation to help solve local problems by using some their new profit streams and some of their new found free time. This has never changed.

There will be many people who do not meet this obligation that will use the free opportunity. They will do this due to their lack of personal integrity.

A third group will appear and their focus will be on reverse engineering the public record. When a system has a Sharpe Ratio of over 60, it is difficult to understand and more difficult to migrate to that realm of thinking. It hasn't happened as yet in any regime of thinking.

*Everyone making use of it will be known since those servicing its support are business people. If someone abuses their priviledges they will no longer have the usage.

  2. Jack,if you knew how many local problems we have,it would take at least a dozen ATS:D

Do you think, they won't be able to reverse engineering without details?I doubt it.We could eliminate the third group by using Sanskrit, nevertheless.

  4. Most potential traders feel as you do.

The risk of trading has a value upon it.

I used to mentor face to face.

This means I have driven to the potential traders residence and I am in his/her trading room.

On our first such meeting I hand the person a blank check with my signature on it. This is an incentive for him/her to be purposeful and not lose money trading.

That is, the person follows my direction as RTH's unfold.

We are meeting because I do not trade every day. I do not have to.

As he learns and is trading his account, he makes money. If he cannot follow my suggestions, he goes flat and we talk about what he didn't understand or not follow.

Now he has more money and he is sidelined and he understands that he cannot make money while not in the market.

When he understands what I suggest and how to do as told, then he gets to make more money.

Here today, we have agreed that you are too frightened to accept something that will trade for you. you understand that you are too frightened and you know exactly why.

you know you are going to shut off the ATS at just the wrong time. You know you cannot turn it back on and expect it to work correctly for you. you can't do it and you know why.

Notice Frenchfry is two weeks behind and did not post a new Universe and he still has not done his first IAS. He is still "inventing" and not doing any work at any time.

thanks for your quick slew of posts. you are an observer who is fearful and anxious. you will become angry next.

  6. Unfortunately nobody picked up where I stopped while I was sick. So I have to do the work myself.

Here is the IAS for WNR. At this stage the question is not yet if the stock is suitable or not but if the mechanics of filling out the IAS are understood correctly.

  7. Here is the Initial Universe sorted by 7, 0 and 1.

Questsion: Why would I first go through the process of IAS/Ranking instead to immediately filter this universe with the float 65day volume criteria? Doing the filtering first reduces workload of Ranking creating IAS sheets.

Does somebody know how I can retrieve the 65day volume for all the symbols into this Excel sheet?

    Thanks!

  8. No the sheet is NOT filled in correctly

In Position Vector Trading position trends are traded.

It was suggested to everyone that they annotate charts.

One RTL should be the intermediate trend line.

then you drawn a parallel line to show the LTL of the intermediate trend.

As you see in the chart I annotated for you with those things accomplished, I also did some arithmetic (and I made a typo which I corrected in a subsequent post) that showed the width of the trend FAILED to meet the standard of the PVT trading criteria.

You then take the stock off your list.

Suppose you do do an annotation of a stock that does get an intermediate trend of a volatility that does pass the PVT criteria.

    if so:

Then within that trend, there must be 5 short term trends within 6 months.

When you take out an IAS you would write down a reference date as the date that each short term trend began.

since you havee made an IAS, could you consider putting the base price BELOW the other price you list. his will make the subtraction sem more suitable and clearer operational.

    reminder:

A new sort is done weekly. After the sort you do many IAS's so you have one in a file folder (made of paper) for each stock in your Universe.

In a few weeks there is little IAS work to do.

  9. Yes.

    I use the function: movingAvg

    Go to TN

    Open the tool bar

    Go to functions.

scroll down until you come to the first moving average function among the moving average functions.

    Add 65 as the count

If you use the function as an indicator for volume you need to make criteria related to volume. This is because you are looking at a 65 day average of volume.

When you are sorting, the Volume movingavg (65) can be part of the sort along with the price range (you missed that on your sort as you can see) and the float (which you missed as well on your sort)

I see you are still sorting alphabetically which screws up your list totally.

Most potential PVT trades would consider the use and value of their time. If you include the criteria for sorting when you sort, then you have less work to do after you get an ordered list. Right now you are only using part of the criteria for sorting consider using all of the criteria.

the ordering of the list is done with increasing volume as the ordering criteria.

PVT is a system aand the system uses a strategy.

From a foundation where a Universe is selected, then events are monitored as an Order of Events. In PVT trading you know you know when a stock can be put on the HOT list.

any stock on the HOT list is bought with money from stocks being sold off of an OWNED list. Owned stocks have sell dates set in advance and they are monitored for their peaking volume during the time when they are designated to be sold.

  10. Here is a chart where a trade is coming up in a couple of days.

    http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/attachment.php?s=&postid=3652739

Notice the annotations into the future. they are based upon the annotating and the dates you add to your IAS.

I know this stock doesn't meet the criteria, but someone asked me how to trade it.

What you see looks like what the CW calles a "prediction". CW's predictions are guesses or bets. PVT trading is NOT betting, however.

In PVT, you do work to prepare. Then the market sends you signals from functions you have created on codable platforms.

We are now at the stage where you are getting ready to buy a color printer equivalent. you will use it to print charts so you can annotate them and then staple them into a manilla file folder along with an IAS. Buy a box of three cut 100 manilla folders and a sharpie to label the folders.
