  3. dan,

your post regarding NLP, hypnosis and so-called eastern methods was quite intriqing. the differences between eastern and western techniques are huge. NLP as well as hypnotism is a mentally invasive method of affecting change. one grabs a hold of the self and forces change. whereas eastern thought teaches flowing with the self to reach another level. as the lyrics to some forgotten song go--" a tear in the hand of a western man, he will tell you about salt, carbon and water--a tear in the hand of an eastern man, he will tell you about heartache, sadness and sorrow". i utilize aspects of both the east and the west in my trading and life.

    all the best,

    surf:)

I like Oliver Velez' MasterTrader book (and his videos.)

    Also, Alex Elder's two books.

And, last, but, don't yell at me :) Ryan Jones' "Trading Game" book.
