What causes the "stalled price action". I watched in real time and saw the bids being reloaded over and over. Sell orders hit the bid and buyer bought everything the sellers through at them. Finally, the seller or sellers gave up and covered their short postion, they exhausted themselves... So you can see that in price action on a candle stick chart, especially after it happens but its very easy to see it on Bookmap, in real time , and after seeing it in real timne, be able to jump on a trade once you understand the context. I have studied these areas and recorded them and watch them over and over to develop "brain memory". Here is a 1 minute candlestick chart to compare For me, and just for me, seeing it on bookmap , seeing that bid being refilled, price stopped, reloading bidder and LARGE volume at one price, the visual is easier to act upon. I can see the volume being built there and I can never match that with candle sticks alone.
This actually the better chart, you can see it as I saw it then- I dont see the massive buyer on the candlestick chart, do you? I was never able to see that on a candle before.
Hey, not sure if videos are cool or not, It was ambiguous in the details. If this is not cool, let me know and I will remove and not post videos. T This is a trading journal I do, its a video format. Last Friday was one of the worst trading days in recent memory.
Here is a trade from the morning before I started work. The ES went to an area, 4115, that was an obstacle on a HTF chart, so I went short with a very tight stop and a nice RR. Closed a touch sooner than I wanted to, had to work. Got 10 points on the runner and 3 on the first lot for 13 points total.
Could you detail how and where the information and location(s) on your corresponding bookmap chart made you aware of that situation that you don't see at minute 9:18 on your candlestick chart?
Great response. Thank you. How many candles per minute on this bad boy? Could you please encircle an absorption "Iceberg" so we can see an example on your chart? Where can be found the Legend that details the meaning of the various colors and locations on a Bookmap chart?
