Anyone know an easy way to identify stocks that are trading at a discount to their book value? Any insights appreciated!
Figured out how to use a stock screener - feel a bit silly actually. I didn't know most screeners incorporated book ratio into their screens.
a few ppl have been looking at (NYSE:ILA) in my office... trading around $4... book value of 8.30, cash on hand 4.80, debt/eq. 1.77....
Kmart was way below book value for a long time then they went completely out of business when it looked like they were turning around!! Max
