Bond Trader 2009

  1. Yes.

To be completely fair, I'll only post from after the 116 160 buy trade completed.

Sold at 116 190 as posted real time and exited 116 150. +4

Bought at 116 175 and sold prematurely at 116 190. 116 240 to 116 260 was a real target. My bias was changing to long, but I still had that fear of a spike down at 116 210 hence the premature exit. + 1.5

Next, even though I was now in a confirmed WGSR up-move, I still thought the short I mentioned at 116 275 was a good trade AND I had placed my sell order at 116 260 with the intent of adjusting as price approached. Well, I was watching carefully, and saying to myself, you know action is too strong...what could it be, and just as I realized that something was wrong and I needed to cancel, I got filled. I waited a bit to see if I could get out with a tick, but by then I was forced to exit with a 4 tick loss, i.e. Sell at 116 260 and exit at 116 300. - 4 (very bad and uncalled for)

Upset that I let myself get caught like this, I read the news, saw how positve it was, and knew that the only thing I really needed to do was buy. Long at 117 040. I was tempted to walk away at this point but decided that my 4 ticks back plus a tick was OK. Exit at 117 090 as it was important resistance. +5 (recovered and a very logical exit)

I continued to make other trades, but that takes care of the morning analysis. Also, keep in mind that my WGSR analysis had changed again to positive, just before 1000 so I would have had another series of levels to post that I would be a buyer at those levels.

In conclusion, even with a mistake (major mistake I might add), I did well following only what I posted here. 6.5 ticks from the above trades.

  3. The reason for no trades after I recovered is that I decided to take a break and wait for the above 1130 time. Anytime I do something stupid, and recover, I take a break.

  4. I have no idea what the purpose of your post is. See chart posted from real account. Granted I could fake it, but honestly, I don't have the time or Photoshop skills to do that.

  5. You took my comment completely out of context, I merely suggested you are devoting a lot of energy to this journal which is distracting your trading, while posting live. Sorry for disrupting your equilibrium this evening.

I never insinuated you were not trading live amigo.

Now carry on, it is actually one of the few interesting threads on this board.

I swing trade ZN and ZB, some move today, ay?

Replies coming later. Tried to short 117 200, chased it down to 117 170. Terrible entry, will exit quickly if necessary.

    Target is low of day.

    Out at 117 155 and 117 160.

Still think we will at a minimum go lower but forced myself out for discipline. I need to regroup for a moment.

This is going to sound confusing, but here is my analysis.

Prior to my short I was going to post that I would like to be a buyer for a first approach of:

    117 140

then we starting tanking and I decided to sell a retracement off of my 5 min chart at 117 200. Well, obviously my sell stop never hit and I had to chase. Rule violation 1.

Once I entered at 117 170 I knew I had to be quick, hence the exit.

Bottom line, the trade of the day was the buy anywhere between 117 140 and 117 160. Obviously I didn't post it so it doesn't count.

We have residual strength from yesterday to get over on my hourly, hence my quick exit. Technically I should not even have considered the short but it was too good to pass up.

  9. My bad. Sorry.

Yes, quite the move today. Today was definitely a day of redemption if anyone was going into it with a loss.

  10. Yes, you are right. I need to be very careful as it becomes a chore after awhile. Not to mention that I'm trying to do this in a professional manner for 3 - 4 hours.

I'm going to get my levels and times posted and concentrate on trading.
