0901 CST If we don't break through 110 17 on this, you may want to exit everything and stand aside. Personally, I think we have more downside available in the ZB, but the action in the Dow has been interfering with the downside in the ZB. A quick glance at the charts of both will show that the downside in bonds stalled when the Dow went down.
I hope you did not do that - this market is not going to go down unless something totally crazy happens. It feels more like a waiting game for "when it is going to go up" for the past 2 weeks.... Earnings will be the catalyst (imho). Of course I am be wrong and I am definitelly biased - I increased my longs after Fed minutes yesterday.
Thank goodness I didn't. Generally speaking I focus exclusively on the bonds. In any event, had I shorted, my stop is usually 1.0 on the YM and never more than 2.0, so I would have lost at most 100 USD.
1030 CST Out of the ZB at 110 18. I was out during the kiss of 110 16. Obviously I only would have made an additional tick, i.e. 110 17 so all in all it was time to get out. My personal thought is that we have more to go to the downside before the day is through. I am probably done for the day. I did not hit the 500 dollar mark but I was under the impression that we would have a lot more movement today.
John, make use of an OCO program if you have one available for your front end. It helps when you walk away with a position.
Thanks! I recently learned how to use it with IB. I did have one on, but my target price was 110 13. A bit of a stretch given the lackadaisical price action.
110 17 has been a very important number for a few days now. Perhaps my initial assessment of a try to 110 13 might bear out. If you're reading this after the fact, I posted this at 1107 CST and the market has just kissed 110 15 in the last few minutes.
Sold 2 ZB's 110 18, looking for quick trip down to 110 12. This is a scalp trade. Sorry couldn't post real-time due to report and other things. 110 19 is important, so this trade could be reversed very quickly. The market has been a tough one this last week, not really doing much of anything. If I had to guess I would say the market is behaving in a weak way today. My 0749 CST guess is that we will see lower prices today.
Out at 110 18. I still think we are heading down but when price kisses 110 16 and comes back to my entry I must respect that.
