  1. Just waiting for a good entry. No bias.

  2. OK finally long 8 ZN 106 140 just a few minutes ago. Standard buy elicited by failure to break lows and break above 0900 to 0930 resistance.

    Best entry was probably long after the 0903 3 min bar failure to break 106 090.

    First target is 106 190 on the ZN or 109 27 on the ZB's, whichever comes first.

  3. Per the journal I only trade for 3 - 4 hours in the AM. Obviously the trades of the day were simple S/R trades with a bias to buying support. My style is to look for 6 ticks on a break of S/R.

    Today could go one of two ways (don't they all?):

    Maintain the range of 109 20 to 109 08.
    Break above my entry for a brief run to 109 27.

    My NN has signaled massive buy volume from 0800 to now, and in particular recently. This is what is keeping me in, even if we dip a little.

    Finally, note that this was a medium size trade for me, indicating my greater confidence in this trade. Kind of wish I had gone up to a 16 lot on the ZN's though with prices at 106 165 on the ZN's.

  4. Surdo,

    If you're reading, I'm guessing you went long at 109 10 or so on the ZB's, correct?

  5. If it happens, the spike to the pivot may be quick. I'm putting my order in now to exit at 106 190 on the ZN's.

  6. 0959 CST Out of the 8 ZN's at 106 170. Can't wait anymore, and price is looking weak.

    Done for the day.

    John,

    Redemption days ahead? How would you position yourself to trade the next few days?

  9. I'll reply in a few hours. The answer is yes, I see a redemption day ahead, maybe more than 1, BUT today, Wednesday, might be too soon. Price can spike a full point in a second on an FOMC meeting day.

  10. I posted the entry earlier. You're quoting the exit. The profit is easily figured out by calculating the number of ticks made. As I'm trading real-time when I post, I don't post my profit / ticks made. Per earlier in the journal I've stated that posting here has been detrimental to my trading.

    ZN = 10 year
    ZB = 30 year

    2 ZN's = 1 ZB
