  6. Talk about a rush.

I just got back from Superman Returns.

It is now 1037 CST. I just checked my limit orders for the ZB's and ZN's.

    Sold 4 ZN's to close 104 160 0738 CST.
    Sold 2 ZB's to close 105 31 0910 CST.

Up 857. I'll write a little more about why I did what I did, later when I calm down. Kind of jittery at the moment.

  7. Goodness!

Anyone, and I mean anyone who has simply skimmed through 5% of this journal could have made a killing today.

Absolutely no excuse for not buying multiples of your normal size at 0800 and 0805.

You did not need Market Profile, you did not need a neural network, you did not need me. Well maybe you needed my price projection numbers that have remained the same for the last few days. All you needed was the knowledge that the FOMC meeting and raising of rates was over. The market showed strength yesterday, and absolutely nothing was going to get in the way of this market.

My only fear was some kind of outlier event wherein the 0730 report would just be devastating. But what are the chances of that? Zero.

So far I've stated that the trade of the month was buying at 105 12. Well, here is another trade of the month: buying multiples of your normal size at 0800 or 0805 today.

What a shame, today would easily have been a 1500 dollar day. Easily.

Oh well, what can I say, the boss comes first.

  8. Neural network indicators are about to turn negative.

We haven't had a day like today since I started posting again a few weeks ago. Bottom line, my experience with a day like today is that you never, never short it. Short signals will fail, or won't last long. It is better to buy the pullbacks.

Keep in mind it is the 4th of July weekend and trading may slow down.

  9. Look at the chart, look at my price projection numbers. Take your pick. I placed a large stop just because I wanted room in case the report was really goofy. Personally I knew the report would be a non-issue and I felt that we would go up in a stair-step fashion.

  10. Am I on a roll or what? Man, I wonder how much money has been lost on shorts at 106 08 and 106 09?

Another point I wanted to bring up is that a day like today is when my strategy of buying contracts just before a major resistance really works well. The technique failed earlier in the week, but on a day like today you can almost buy at any time we approached a price projection number.
